Simply Simplistic

First Project

Heeeyyyyy! so in my Apparel Tech Design & Product Development we are starting to do a project with lots of sewing and alterations. I know i had a couple of alterations here and there. @.@ it was so confusing at first because when she was explaining, she explained everything in one go. So much information in just a one specific time.

Well our first project is to sew a skirt and this is the skirt that i’m doing:

It’s A by the way. And well we’ve started the whole thing and first of all we had to draw in our seam lines:

As you can see the dotted lines. The first set of dotted lines on the left are my first seam line draw ins from the whole 6,8,10+ sizes. after figuring out my alterations such as if i needed to add or subtract. In my case i had to subtract and that’s how my second set of dotted lines to the right came out. and where i cut is the new cut line that my professor helped my sort out. Soon we have to start sewing :D I’ll update more. Thanks.

I know the quality ain’t that good and adding my watermark to it doesn’t help but it’s for my own safety that no one takes it.

This outfit was created on the day my dad pissed me off because he kept going on about me becoming a fashion designer. Then my mom added gasoline to the fire. So as she ranted about this and that I started drawing and that’s how the outfit came about. The bottom part came first. I left the top for a later time since I couldn’t picture the top at the moment. That’s the same with the gradient part on the bottom.

The reasons. The reason i chose a gradient color for the bottom was because…Alright i’ve gotta tell ya the truth, I don’t really know why I added the gradient. It just came to me randomly and same with the top part of the dress. I just started drawing and each detail came at its own pace. I’ll stop drawing and then come back to add more things to it. Like my blog title Simply Simplistic. Simple is perfect the way it is.

Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” —Coco Chanel

It all started out with an idea that came to me when I was sitting in my room texting my now ex-boyfriend. It was during my Christmas break and late at night. I wanted to do something fun and creative and i thought why not make a plushie? And so i did. I created everything from scratch of course. I first drew out patterns for the body, hair, and clothing. It wasn’t too hard except for the fact the outfit came out to be too small for the doll’s body. So then I had to improvise. The whole doll was created out of felt and for the decorations on the outfit, I used fabric paint. Actually, I cut out a shape of a cloud from the fabric and then added white fabric paint to that felt.

tumblrbot asked: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE INANIMATE OBJECT?

My plushies. I adore them
